Instructions to make Strawberry Preserve:
  1. In a large bowl mix the sugar and strawberries and let it sit for about 10 mins.
  2. Into a heavy bottom stainless steel sauce pan/Instant Pot, transfer the strawberry mixture along with the lemon juice.
  3. Cook on low heat for about 20 mins until the berries release juices and sugar dissolves and the mixture starts slow boil.
  4. Mix well with a spatula and mash the berries lightly leaving tiny chunks in the mixture.
  5. Once the mixture is thick and coats the back of a wooden spoon, remove the pan from heat.
  6. Make sure you have prep the canning jars/glass jars for storing the preserve.
  7. Glass jar should be hot and sterilized and dry.
  8. Transfer the preserve into the jars and make sure its air tight.
  9. Store in cool dry place and refrigerate and use.
  10. This preserve will stay fresh for about 1-2 months.

Put the strawberries and lemon peel in a wide heavy pot. Using a rubber spatula, fold in the superfine sugar. Our easiest strawberry jam recipe without a pectin. The jam is soft, spreadable, delicious, and great for first-timers or seasoned cooks. To sterilize jars, before filling with jams, pickles, or preserves, wash jars and lids with hot, soapy water.
