The ingredients needed to make Chocolate Tiramisu:
- Make ready Chocolate sponge (see recipe from "Amandine")
- Prepare 250 g mascarpone cheese
- Take 300 ml extra thick double cream
- Take 150 g powder erythritol
- Take Vanilla essence
- Get Lemon zest
- Prepare Syrup to soak the sponge
- Make ready 150 ml water
- Take 2 tbsp instant coffee
- Take 2 tbsp erythritol
- Take 2 tbsp almond essence (to replicate the Amaretto flavour)
- Prepare Dark chocolate, shaved
Because the chocolate tiramisu is so over the top as far as flavor and look, I really like to make mine in a large deep dish. To decorate, I dust cocoa powder over a stencil to create beautiful stars on top. Beat in the chocolate liqueur until just combined. Spoon half of the mascarpone mixture over ladyfingers, spreading evenly.
Instructions to make Chocolate Tiramisu:
- For chocolate sponge I ve used the ends left from my "Amandine" cake
- For cream - mix all ingredients together with an electric mixer until light and fluffy
- For syrup - add all ingredients in a pot over medium heat. Bring to boil then leave it to cool to room temperature.
- For assembly - use a glass to make a deconstructed tiramisu. Soak some sponge in the syrup, add a layer of mascarpone cream, top with some shaved dark chocolate, add another layer of soaked sponge and repeat with cream and chocolate on top.
- Leave in the fridge overnight. Enjoy!
Sprinkle white chocolate and bittersweet chocolate over the mascarpone mixture. Top with another layer of ladyfingers (reserve any remaining ladyfingers for another use). Creamy, chocolatey, and a snap to make, this chocolate lover's tiramisu gets an extra pick me up with a shot of coffee liquor. Notes: When whisking the mascarpone, take care not to over-whisk or the mixture will curdle. Melt the butter and allow to cool slightly.
