We promise this is a great substitute for savory applications like fettucine alfredo, because the cooking process will help the two become one, yielding a silky smooth sauce just like good old. Make sure the beans are completely submerged in the vodka. Secure the lid and store in a cool, dark place. Allow the flavours to mix for at least two months before using, shaking at least once a week.
- Substitute the amount needed in a recipe for one of these.
- There's two options with this substitute. You can either blend and use as it is or thicken the substitute by simmering it down on a medium heat. (Makes about a cup). Store in an airtight container in fridge and use with 4 days or a neat little trick is filling ice cube bags with the mixture and freezing, each cube is roughly 2 tablespoons.
- Mix the ingredients well together. And replace the amount you need in your recipe.
