- Once the sugar melts we can Microwave. Take around 2 Cups I.e around 500 gms of the mixture in a Microwave safe bowl.
- Microwave on High for 4 minutes.
- Remove the bowl.stir well again Microwave on High for 4 to 5 minutes. Stir well. Let it rest for 2 minutes, stir well and test for the sugar syrup. Put 2 to 3 drops of sugar syrup in a small plate The syrup should form a pearl drop. It should not spread.
- Take the microwaved katki in a container and further let it cool. Once the Microwave process is complete let the mixture cool down completely.
- After it cools completely add red chilli powder, hand crushed cumin, asafoetida and mix properly.
- Can be stored in an airtight container for full year. Can be had with Dhokla,Paratha, Muthiya, etc.
