Take a kadhai, add ghee or oil for tempering. Add cumin seeds and let it splutter. Add water to the tempering enough to cover the millets. Add the soaked and drained millets.

Steps to make Millet Kichdi:
  1. In a medium sized bowl, add the toor daal and millet. Wash and soak for 1 hour.
  2. Wash and chop all vegetables.
  3. In a pressure cooker, add ghee, ginger garlic paste, cumin seeds and green chilli. Fry for 30 seconds.
  4. Add the onions and fry for 1 minute, until translucent.
  5. Add all the vegetables.
  6. Add all the spices and fry for 2-3 mins.
  7. Drain out the water from the soaked daal-millet mixture.
  8. Add it to the pressure cooker and fry for 1 min.
  9. Add 2.5 cups of water.
  10. Pressure cook for 3 whistles.
  11. Dry roast the fenugreek leaves.
  12. Once the Kichdi is ready, add the fenugreek and mix well.
  13. Serve in a bowl with spicy potato crisps.
