- Take 225 g self-raising flour
- Get 1 pinch salt

- Preheat oven to gas mark 7 (220 C) for about 10-15 minutes. In the meantime pour in the milk slowly and mix together and then knead until you form dough.
- Sprinkle flour on the surface and roll out the dough approx. 1 inch thick. Cut out circular shapes or alternatively use a mini cutter to cut out various shapes as you wish.
- Grease the baking and place the scones onto the tray.
- Beat the egg and brush it on top of the scones, (this will give them a shiny surface)
- Place in preheated oven for 15 minutes until golden brown. Let them cool before slicing them in half and adding in the filling.
- Add one layer of whipped double cream and place chopped strawberries on top followed by the top layer of the scone creating a sandwich scone. Enjoy ;)
